Here are some steps for draping a saree in the working style:

Stand in front of a mirror and tuck in the saree from the right side, going around once.
Decide on the length of the pallu, which should be mid-thigh, between the hips and knee.
Bunch up the fabric for the pallu and throw it behind you.
Make six pleats with the inner end and hold them at the center back waist.
Wrap the outer end counterclockwise under the pleats and double knot it at the right waist.
Drape the pallu over the left shoulder and tuck the front portion in at the center back waist.
Bring the right edge of the pallu from back to front and tuck it in at the left waist.
